Webcam Lynmouth. Panorama of the coast
Lynmouth is a town in Devon, England, on the northern edge of Exmoor, on the coast of Bristol Bay. The settlement is located between the confluence of the West Lynn and East Lynn Rivers, in a ravine (210 m) below Lynnton - it was the only place to expand when Lynmouth became as built up as it could be.
The Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway runs through the settlement, which many in the UK compare to a roller coaster, and for good reason. The road traverses a series of high cliffs and connects the two towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. It's hard to imagine that such a complicated railroad was built in the late 19th century and in just three years. As early as 1890 the road began to run a carriage that looked like a large elevator.
Now on the railroad runs a miniature train, consisting of two cars, which at the same time can carry 80 passengers. There are a lot of steep climbs and descents along the way, but the miniature train moves much more slowly and carefully than a traditional roller coaster.
Surrounded by picturesque mountain scenery, the train ride is sure to please nature lovers and will not disappoint the extreme, who will not once be able to see through the window the bottom of the edge of the cliffs.
