The village of Molochnoye is located in the Vologda region, seven kilometers from the center of the city of Vologda. According to the 2012 census, the number of local residents is 8118.
The village was founded in 1948 as an urban settlement, but only in 2004 it was transformed into a village. It is a major educational and research and production center of agriculture and the dairy industry, as well as the Vologda butter industry.
There is a well-developed infrastructure in Molochny, which indicates that the village has several schools and kindergartens, clinics and hospitals. In addition, there is a training and experimental dairy plant, a dairy academy, a research institute of grassland and dairy farming, an agrochemical service center and much more.
