Apatity is a town in the Murmansk region of Russia. The center of the urban district of Apatity with subordinate territory, which in addition to it includes the village of Tik-Guba and Khibiny station. Located on the Kola Peninsula, between Lake Imandra and the Khibiny mountain range, on the left bank of the Belaya River.

The first buildings of Zapadnaya (Kozlov) Street were built in the late 60s. During large-scale road construction in Apatity, a road was built up to Industrial Street.
In 1974 Zapadnaya street in Apatity was renamed into a street named after the geologist E. K. Kozlov.

The street is located in the western part of the city, passing from east to west.

The street starts from the intersection of Energy, Moscow and Fersman streets. Then the street goes, making an arc around the buildings, and comes to a large intersection of Fersmana, Prigorodnaya and Stroiteley streets, where it ends.
