Merimbula is a town on Lake Merimbula, located on the Far South Coast or Sapphire Coast Ocean, New South Wales, Australia.
Merimbula means "two lakes" in the Aboriginal language, and the town's population today is just under 4,000 people. The city's main source of income is tourism.
There are five beaches in Merimbula - Main Beach (or Merimbula Beach), Mitchies Jetty, Bar Beach, Spencer Park Beach and Short Point. Main Beach turned out to be an ideal place for a family vacation, for the shore was shallow, the sand was rock-free, the water was shallow, and the waves were constant.
