The town is situated on the Burgas Bay of the Black Sea in the South-East region of Bulgaria, 385 km from Sofia, 267 km from Plovdiv and 133 km from Varna.
The main attraction of Burgas is the Marine Park with interesting sculptures and monuments to famous people of the country. In the city center there are many houses in the Art Nouveau and Rationalist style, built in the early 20th century.
