Webcam Sopot. The breakwater and the promenade with the fountain
The most famous object and attraction of the summer capital of Poland - Sopot, is the wooden breakwater (Molo).
Sopot mole, one of the longest in Europe (no wonder, because the length of the platform is 515.5 meters), is a square, from which starts a wide and long, environmentally friendly, because it consists entirely of wood decking, some of which is on land, and some goes to the Baltic Sea (the Gulf of GdaĆsk).
The breakwater is not only a promenade, there is also a restaurant "Fregat", a pier for passenger ships, a historical fountain and an observation point with spyglasses.
The breakwater consists of two parts, ground and sea.
The onshore part of the breakwater originates from the Sopot Lighthouse and Balneotherapy Spa, which is a resort square (Skwer Kuracyjny).
There are flowerbeds with a variety of flowers and decorative plants, souvenir shops with amber products and souvenir products with symbols of the city, and comfortable benches for rest, sitting on which you can admire the beauty of the north and the fountain in its center.
Public entertainment and concerts are held in this part of the pier, and rock bands and members of the musical underground play during the annual International Song Festival.
The sea part of the pier is the pier (Pier in Sopot), which consists of a wooden footbridge, crossing the sandy beach and going far into the sea.
The pier stretches over the beach in its center, as if dividing the entire beach into two parts, and serves not only as a place for walks and recreation for citizens and visitors, but is also a pier for sailing boats, yachts and water cabs.
