Webcam online Astrakhan. Admiralteyskaya Street

Admiralteyskaya Street is one of the main streets of Astrakhan, crossing the entire central island from south to north and then from north to south, passing through the historic district of Kos and separating it from the White City. Continues beyond Kutum, entering the historic settlement of Seleniye in the Leninsky district. Starts from the Customs Bridge over the Varvacia Canal at Swan Lake, passes by Lenin and Oktyabrskaya Squares, skirting the Astrakhan Kremlin from the west side. It crosses several important streets of the central part of Astrakhan, including Nikolskaya Street and Sverdlovaya Street, and ends at the corner with Henri Barbusa Street under the New Bridge, also joining with a Y-junction to Kuibyshev Street.

The main part of the street was formed by the 19th century, as a result the street stretches to its present-day length. The street was used as one of the first streetcar lines in 1900s; before reconstruction of the system in 1952-1959, a streetcar ring had been laid in place of Ulyanov Square; after reconstruction, the central part of the line was moved to Violetova Street, and the line existed this way until the summer of 2005.

In 1920-2007, the line was named after Andrei Ivanovich Zhelyabov. In July 2007 the change of the signs, returning the historic name to houses number 5 and 53a (the front entrance of the Astrakhan Central Cargo Port) began, but for about 2.5 years a sign with the inscription "Admiralteyskaya Street, 5" was sticking on the wall of the house with a memorial plaque in honor of Zhelyabov. It also took until 2010 to return the store "Gefest", located in house number 32, to its historic name. The final change of signs was implemented by the summer of 2009.
