Mount Pedra Bonita is one of the most important landmarks of Tijuca National Park in Brazil and is located in the Tijuca Forest southwest of downtown Rio de Janeiro. The mountain is about 700 meters high and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings.
The mountain is very popular with hang-gliding enthusiasts. There are several hiking trails to get to the top of Mount Pedra Bonita. The most popular route takes about 30 minutes to climb. The Tijuca National Park is home to the famous 710-meter-high Corcovado Mountain, which is topped by the Statue of Christ the Redeemer.
The statue is visible from almost all areas of Rio de Janeiro. It is a symbol not only of the city of Rio de Janeiro, but also the whole of Brazil. Through the webcam you can see the top of Mount Pedra Bonita, the Tijuca National Park and the Atlantic Ocean.
