Webcam Vielha. Panorama of the Aran Valley (Spain) online

Vielha (Vielha e Mijaran) is a municipality in the Aran Valley (Val d'Aran), formed in 1970 by the incorporation of six Aran municipalities. Vielha is the Aranian capital, the head of the municipality, the valley and its judicial infrastructure. It is located in the province of Lerida, Catalonia, Spain. Val d'Aran is the only region in which a dialect of Occitan is recognized as an official language.

It is a first-class tourist center due to the natural environment of the entire Aran Valley and its location close to ski resorts (such as Bakeret, which is the largest and most visited winter resort in Spain). It is also one of the best central parts of the Pyrenees to start exploring these mountains, including their highest peak, Aneto.

The vivid nature of the valley, with deciduous and coniferous forests alternating with alpine and subalpine meadows and picturesque rivers, is everywhere! The Garonne River is an important structure of the main valley, justifying its name: Val d'Aran (Valley of the Valleys).

The mountain bike tourism center, Val d'Aran offers certified and accessible routes of more than 400 km for all levels, both for those who want to enjoy direct contact with nature and the rich heritage of the Aran, and for the lovers of the most demanding technical routes, long or steep descents.

The municipality is bordered to the north by Canehan, to the northeast and east by Alto Aran, to the south by Villalère, to the west by France (Haute Garonne) and Las Bordas, to the northwest by the municipalities of de Vilamos and Les.
