Cologne/Bonn Airport (German: Flughafen Köln/Bonn, (IATA: CGN, ICAO: EDDK)), also known as Konrad Adenauer Airport, is an international civil airport located in the suburban area of Cologne Porz, Germany, in the Vaner Heide Nature Reserve. The port is located in the Cologne/Bonn Region, 15 kilometers southeast of central Cologne and 16 kilometers northeast of Bonn.
The airport ranks sixth in passenger traffic among all German airports and is one of the few 24-hour airports in the country. In 2016, the number of passengers using the port was 11.91 million (a record figure in the history of the airport), an increase of 1.5 million compared to 2015.
The main passenger traffic in 2016 came from the airports Berlin-Tegel (638 thousand), Munich (483 thousand), Palma de Mallorca (476 thousand), Berlin-Schönefeld (299 thousand), Antalya (262 thousand). Among the countries, the leaders in passenger traffic at the airport in 2016 were Germany (1.7 million passengers), Spain (1.04 million), Turkey (0.66 million), Italy (0.46 million), Great Britain (0.37 million).
Cologne/Bonn is also the second busiest airport in Germany in terms of air cargo tonnage.
