Hanko is the southernmost city in Finland. It is located on the southern tip of the Hankoniemi Peninsula and is surrounded by the sea on three sides. Within the city there are more than 30 km of the coast and sandy beaches. Hanko is a city that "lives" in the summer. Administratively, the city municipality is part of the Uusimaa Province. Helsinki is 127 km away and Turku is 141 km away. The nearest town is Raseborg (35 km).
