Balneario Camboriu is one of the main beach resorts in the south of Brazil, it is very popular with people all over South America. The city is located on the Atlantic coast in the state of Santa Catarina in the southeast of Brazil, 16 km south of Itajai and 510 km northeast of Porto Alegre. Balneário Camborio is known for its many beaches, considered some of the best in Brazil.
The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and moderately warm winters. The average summer temperature from December to February is +25°C, and often exceeds +30°C to +35°C. The average winter temperature from June to August is about +15°C, in the morning it can drop to +4°C and even 0°C. During the year in the city there is quite a lot of precipitation, which is evenly distributed throughout the year.
The best time for a beach holiday in Balneário-Camboriu is in February and March, when the water in the Atlantic Ocean gets as warm as +25°C. The central beach (Praia Central) is about 6km long and is located on the shores of Santa Catarina bay of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the center of tourism in Balneario Camborio.
