Thun is a medieval town with a touch of modernity, located by the lake of the same name in a picturesque valley between the mountains. The three main Swiss "giants" - Mench, Eiger and Jungfrau, as well as the more close ones-the pyramidal Niesen (2362 m) and Stockhorn (2190 m) with a flat top create a unique panorama around. And the main decoration of the city itself is the castle, sitting proudly on a rocky ledge in the center of the old town. Thun is one of the ten largest cities in Switzerland.
