Webcam Dongzi Island
Dongji Island is located on the eastern tip of mainland China. Located in the sea and surrounded by the East China Sea, it has beautiful scenery. The island has a lighthouse that was built in 1911 during Japanese rule.
Dongji is also called the "Island of Clouds and Mists" because it is surrounded by clouds and mists every year in spring and summer, and its coastline always has sunshine and smells of the sea. Mount Dungfu, in addition to the unique landscape, also holds a legend that says that during the Qin Dynasty, the counselor Xu Fu, leading some 3,000 boys and girls, went to the East Sea in search of the elixir of immortality. And the place of his departure was precisely the island of Dongji.
"Dongji Island" is the general term for all islands under the jurisdiction of Dongji City of the Putuo District of Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. Its official geographic name should be "Zhongjishan Islands.
