Webcam Narol. Market Square
Narol is a town in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Lubaczów County, Poland. As of 2009 it had 2,109 inhabitants. Narol is located in an area called Narolszczysna.
In 1758, Felix Antoni Los (1737-1804) became the owner of Narol, as well as his deputy and a general in the royal army. He opened a factory and school in Narol. In 1776, he began the construction of a palace in the shape of a horseshoe (Moose family coat of arms).
Next to the palace was an Italian garden. The count was an avid collector of ancient writings, correspondence and manuscripts, as well as paintings of the Italian and Dutch schools. At that time he amassed one of the largest libraries in Poland and founded a theater and music school for children on the palace grounds. The palace was considered one of the most beautiful in the whole country. After Count Elk's death, the entire collection was lost, and most of the library ended up in the hands of Count Jakub Potocki. In 1935, the books were donated to the public library in Warsaw.
