Andorra la Vella ("Old Andorra") or Andorra la Vieja (Andorra la Vieja) is the capital of Andorra and one of the seven parroquoi into which the country is divided. The city is located in the Pyrenees Mountains at an altitude of 1079 m at the confluence of two rivers (Valira d'ordino and Valira d'encamp), forming the Valira River. Andorra la Vella is the highest mountain capital in Europe.
