Volgograd is a city of heroes with a rich history, large size, on the territory of which there are remarkable and not so remarkable monuments of culture. As in most cities in Russia, it has its own Lenin Square. Most often in the center is a monument to Lenin, hence the name.
On this square the monument is erected on a granite pedestal. It is made of bronze and has a height of 9 meters. The Lenin monument appeared on the square in 1960, not far from there is a common grave of NKVD soldiers, which appeared a year earlier.
