Lake Brienz (Brienzersee) is a lake in the Swiss canton of Bern, it is 14 km long, 3 km wide; the area is 30 sq. km, the depth is 261 m. From the north, the steep Brienzergrat mountain range rises above the lake and the village of Brienz, rising to about 2000 m, and the height of the top of its Rothorn reaches 2351 m. It offers a magnificent view. The southern shore of the lake is formed by the Faulhorn mountain range, the peaks of which reach a considerable height: the Faulhorn-2683 m and the Schwarzhorn - 2930 m.
