Münster is one of the oldest cities in Germany with a rich history, architectural and cultural heritage. It is located in western Germany, in Westphalia, and is one of its centers. The border with the Netherlands runs close by.
It is quite a large city - in terms of area Munster is the 16th largest in the country. Much of it is devoted to agriculture, and the residential part of the city is divided into six districts.
To the west is the Aase Reservoir, which is the main place of recreation for locals and tourists alike. The historical part of Munster can tell many events of life not only the city, but also the country as a whole. For tourists, unfortunately, it is not too popular. It is more of a student town, where the nightlife is in full swing. But the mix of antiquity and modernity makes it special and unique.
