Webcam Naruma. Panorama of the coast
The name Narooma comes from the aborigines and means something like "clear blue waters. Narooma was founded sometime in 1884. It is located in the state of New South Wales, 350 km south of Sydney.
Naruma is quite a small town, with only a few thousand people, but that in no way detracts from its popularity. Naruma is one of the favorite places of recreation among the locals as well as travelers.
All sorts of water rides and fishing - Naruma has a rich array of offers for vacationers of all ages. Naruma also offers a beach holiday, with Dalmeny Beach, Narooma Beach, Bar Beach and Yabarra Beach all offering plenty to choose from.
Naruma has observation decks that offer great views of the city and the ocean. One of the interesting things about Naruma is Australia Rock, a small rock that has a hole in its shape reminiscent of the shape of the Australian continent. The shape is a result of the accidental securing of anchor chains to the rock, many years ago, so ships would not get swept out to sea. The chains rubbed against the side of the cliff because of the rocking waves, and this is how the silhouette of Australia turned out, to everyone's surprise.
In addition to all of course you can look at whales, dolphins and seals. There are cruise ships that go into the open ocean in order to show everyone from small to large these mysterious creatures of nature - huge whales from their decks.
