Alushta is a major resort on the southern coast of Crimea. It is conveniently located on the Black Sea coast between two popular resort towns: 81 km to Sudak, 37 km to Yalta. And to Simferopol, where the airport and train station are located, about 48 km. Through Alushta passes through the highway to the southern resorts.
Alushta and surrounding villages and settlements are called the Big Alushta. It stretches from Partenit to Privetnoye and includes 26 settlements. The most famous are Utes, Maly Mayak, Chaika, Lazurnoye, Luchistoe, Semidvore, Solnechnogorskoye, Malorechenskoye, Rybachie. The coastline of Bolshaya Alushta stretches for 40 kilometers.
