Webcam Bjelasnica Ski Center
Bjelašnica (Bjelašnica) is a mountain 2067 m high in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, 30 km southwest of Sarajevo.
This is the highest ski resort in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the steepest slopes. In 1984, the XIV Winter Olympic Games were held here.
In Belasnica the absolute lowest temperature was fixed at -41 degrees. In summer the temperature does not rise above 24 degrees. There are strong winds.
The average height of snow cover is 135 cm, sometimes up to 3 meters. Snow holds up to 200 days a year.
In case there is not enough snow, there are snow cannons.
There are 8 slopes in Bjelasnica, including difficult ones that are suitable for professionals or well-trained amateurs, and slopes for amateurs with medium level of training.
One of the tracks is illuminated in the dark, skiing is possible until 21.00 on Friday and Saturday.
The total length of trails is about 14,000 m.
The highest point: 2067 m.
Lower point: 1266 m, the valley called Babin do.
Height difference: the minimum drop on the Kolijevka trail is 156 m, the maximum drop on the Kotlovi trail is 900 m.
