Webcam Camogli. Paradiso Bay promenade
Thousands of snow-white yachts, a fish-food festival, the Virgin Mary festival "Stella Maris" in the Gulf of Golfo Paradiso, Camogli, a legendary seaside town, is one of the most beautiful in Liguria.
In Camogli everything breathes with the sea, not a single event or occasion is without it. The facades of the houses facing the sea are painted in different colors and the excursion boats depart from the nearby pier.
The beaches are covered with pebbles that are also used to pave the porches of the local churches. The traditional black and white ornamentation is called "risso": an excellent example is the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta.
The Castello della Dragonara is an ancient castle on a cliff by the sea, built during the Saracen raids. It offers magnificent views of the Gulf of Paradiso, especially romantic during sunset.
The town is the birthplace of the famous Italian guitarist Ruggero Chiesa, in memory of whom an international competition for classical guitarists has been held here since 2004.
