Novokuznetsk is a city in the Kemerovo region, ranking first in Kuzbass in area and second in population. In addition, the city is the oldest in the region. It is noteworthy that Novokuznetsk is not part of the Novokuznetsk Municipal District, but is its administrative center. It is located in the south of Western Siberia, in the southern part of the Kemerovo region, covering both banks of the Tom River.
Prospect Stroiteley adorns the Central district of Novokuznetsk from the KOMK plant office to the bridge over the Tom, which connects the Central and Zavodskoy districts. The numbering of houses on this street starts from Victory Square.
Building of the avenue began in 1945. The last as part of the Voroshilov Highway project of 1947 was built a two-story mansion near the ring, which was originally intended for the rural district committee of the Communist Party, which existed in the building until 1966. The building was designed by Donat Fedorovich Gorny. The house was commissioned on March 20, 1955.
The avenue received its present name on October 5, 1957, when the decision
Voroshilovskoye shosse was renamed into Stroiteley Avenue by the decision of the city council № 429.
In autumn 2006, a large-scale reconstruction of Stroiteley Avenue began from the traffic circle at the intersection with Nogradskaya Street to the ring at the intersection with Metallurgov Avenue. A system of drains was created, the roadway was widened, a new road surface was created, and trees and bushes were planted. On September 25, 2007, the southern part of Stroiteley Avenue was opened after major reconstruction. On October 21, 2011 the northern part of the renewed avenue from the Palace of Sports of Kuznetsky Metallurgists to Pirogov Street was opened after renovation.
In July-August 2015 a new trolleybus route № 7 from the stop "Bread Plant" along Oktyabrsky Avenue to the House of Life was launched, then along Bardina, Kurako and Stroiteley avenues with the final stop "Stroybaza".
The buildings of the Palace of Sports of Kuznetsky Metallurgists and Vodokanal are also on Stroiteley Avenue.
