Webcam Pragelato Ski Resort
Despite the fact that Pragelato was originally designed for professional snowboarding and ski jumping competitions, nowadays the resort is ready to welcome ordinary tourists as well. The resort is good for those who prefer to go skiing in France, swim in the pool, visit the children's entertainment complex and the largest mountain spa in Europe.
Pragelato is a small village with a sweet name, because "gelato" in Italian means ice cream. The mountain slopes of Pragelato under the thick blanket of snow really do remind you of a flowing, slightly thawed ice cream.
Pragelato is a uniquely beautiful resort of the Italian Alps. It is located in Piedmont, near Sestriere Pragelato and is in close proximity to Milky Way, known to all as the center of the Winter Olympics 2006. Pragelato Village has been used for ski jumping and cross-country skiing.
The skiing season lasts from December to April. The resort has an area of 7 hectares and is located at an altitude of 1530 meters. Nearby is the Val Troncea National Park and the Orsier Reserve. The Pragelato Estate has about 200 trails with a total length of more than 400 km. One track reaches a length of 80 km, but it is for professionals. The others can be conquered by intermediate skiers and beginners. The altitude difference is 1530-1620 meters.
Pradgelato is located near Turin (90 km), where you can easily get by plane. If you don't have free seats to Turin, you can take a ticket to Milan that is 220 km from Pradgelato. No less interesting resorts in Italy: Val di Fassa Italia, Livigno, Cortina d'Ampezzo.
