Webcam Ulyanovsk. Narimanov Avenue, Uritskogo Street

Narimanov Avenue is the main street of the microdistrict "North" in the Leninsky District of Ulyanovsk. It runs from southeast to northwest from the ring of Verkhnepolevaya, Gagarina and Kroliunitskogo streets to the intersection of Seldinskoye Highway and the road Ulyanovsk - Isheevka. It is the main thoroughfare of the northern part of the Leninsky district. The avenue is named after Nariman Narimanov, Azerbaijani writer, a major public and political figure, Bolshevik, Commissar of Foreign Affairs and chairman of the Azerbaijan SSR SNK (1920-1922).

In the early 19th century, the Kazan postal route was laid here.
In 1925, after the death of N. Narimanov, at the request of the working people of Ulyanovsk, the street was named after Nariman Narimanov.
Building of the street began in 1953, when, because of the creation of Kuybyshev reservoir, residents of flooded villages Nizhnyaya Chasovnya, Kanava, Korolyovka and Polivno moved here.
In 1959, in the middle of the avenue was installed television tower for the opening of the Ulyanovsk Radio and Television Center.

In 1966, started building the Iskra plant and houses for workers.
In the 1960s, the regional agricultural exhibition, founded in 1951, was moved here. A streetcar line was laid along the street specifically for access to the exhibition. In 1965 its location was turned into the Victory Park, which still exists today. The exhibition ceased to exist in the late 1970s.

In 1977, a monument to Nariman Narimanov was unveiled, and Narimanov Highway became known as Avenue.

In 1995, a unique single-track (with branch lines) garden tramway (route 107) of about 4.19 km in length was opened in the northwestern part to serve the gardening communities.
