King George Square is the central square in the city of Glasgow. It was founded in 1781 by King George the Third, after whom it is named. The arrangement of the square lasted until the 20s of the 19th century. The square introduces the statues of famous Scots, in the center of it stands a statue of Sir Walter Scott. Around the square are monuments to James Watt, Robert Barnes, and equestrian statues to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
