Hampton is a town in Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada.
Located on the Kennebecasis River, 30 km northeast of St. John, Hampton is part of Kings County. The town was the seat of the county government between 1870 and 1965 (when county governments were abolished) and today it is a service center in the central Kennebecasis River Valley and a suburb of St. John.
Hampton is located in the valley of the Kennebecasis River where it flows into a wide floodplain. The Hampton Swamps contain a variety of wildlife and are a major tourist attraction in the city. Although Hampton is located far upstream from the Bay of Fundy, its high tides nevertheless have some impact there. The marshes flood each spring during runoff, and then the water level changes throughout the year, offering an ever-changing landscape for a variety of animals, birds, and fish.
