Webcam Kerch. Kirov Street

Kirov Street is one of the central highways of Kerch and an important traffic artery of the city. It begins in the center of the city, and then runs into the distance almost straight asphalt ribbon along the bay of Kerch Bay.
Originally the street was called the Customs, and then, most likely in the 70-80-ies of the XIX century, was renamed Stroganovskaya in honor of the statesman of Russia, Count Alexander Grigorievich Stroganov.

In Soviet times the street was named after the Soviet statesman Sergei Mironovich Kirov. Kirov (party pseudonym since 1912; Sergey Mironovich Kostrikov) was a prominent Soviet party and statesman. CP member since 1904, participant in three Russian revolutions and the Civil War. Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the VKP(b). He died the victim of an act of terrorism.
