Webcam Ligurian Alps

The Ligurian Alps are mountains, part of the Alps within the Italian region of Liguria, framing the Ligurian Sea. Often regarded as part of the Maritime Alps.

The Ligurian Alps are the extreme southwestern tip of the Alps. They are separated from the Maritime Alps (in the west) by the Tand pass (Tenda), from the Apennines (in the east) by the pass of the Cadibona.
The Ligurian Alps mark the border between the regions of Liguria and Piedmont.

In the south, the mountains steeply drop to the sea. The coastline in the area forms the Italian Riviera (the city of San Remo and others).

The altitude of the mountains is mainly 1300-1700 m, while towards the border with France it reaches up to 2500 m.
The main peaks are Marguareis (2650 m) and Montjoye (2630 m).
