Webcam Azinara. Panorama of the coast
The island of Asinara, off the northwestern coast of Sardinia, is one of the most picturesque in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1997, a national park was established on the island.
The eastern part of the island is generous with beaches and cozy bays such as Cala Scombro and Sant'Andrea with pink granite rocks.
The western half, on the other hand, is more characterized by high ridges that plummet down to the sea, such as the Punta dello Scorno promontory with its lighthouse. To this list of island landscapes should be added the oak grove of Vallombrosa, which contributes a variety to the usual picture of the local flora, formed mainly by Mediterranean shrubs. A total of 678 species grow here, among which 29 are endemic.
