The city of Ozersk, a fairly young technopolis, is located in the north of the Chelyabinsk region. It owes its birth to the chemical plant, which it was decided to build for the needs of national defense in 1945.
Muzrukov Street starts from Kolyvanova Street and passes into Dzerzhinsky Street. This is one of the longest streets in the city. It belongs to the area of the first cottage construction of the city - 1947-48. Since the main distinguishing feature of Muzrukov Street is a beautiful coniferous forest, it gave its first name - Pine Street.
Since July 20, 1989 Muzrukov Street includes some houses of Zhdanov Street and Khozyayasvenny Lane that survived after the demolition of the residential area between Verkhnyaya Street and Nizhnyaya Street. The name of Boris Glebovich Muzrukov, the third director of PA "Mayak", who made a great contribution to the establishment and development of the city and the plant, the honorary citizen of the city, was given to Sosnovaya street by the decision of the City Council on September 18, 1979.
