Kryvan is one of the peaks of the High Tatras. The height above sea level is 2,494 m, the height difference from the village of Tri Studnichki is 1,353 m. From the east, Kryvan is bounded by the Vazhetskaya Valley, at the end of which is the lake Kryvanskoe Zelenoe Pleso. From it originates the White Vag - one of the sources of the Vag River, the longest in Slovakia (406 km). Kryvan is one of the easily accessible peaks. Usually, the ascent to the top is from the lake Strbske Pleso, which does not require special training from tourists. Before a more difficult ascent from the place where the tourist trail leaves the Tatran highway for Three Studnichki, you can make a stop on the shore of Lake Yamskoe Pleso (1,447 m).
