Nakhodka Avenue is the central street and the main transport artery of Nakhodka. Crosses the city from north to south, runs along the western shore of Nakhodka Bay, stretches for almost 11 km. It was formed on May 23, 1950, immediately after Nakhodka received city status.
Nakhodka Prospect is the most important transport artery of Nakhodka. Almost all city bus routes go through it. On the avenue are located Nakhodka bus station, railway stations of the largest railway stations of the city - Pacific and Barkhatnaya.
Along the entire length of the avenue has four lanes, with the exception of a small section, which narrows to three lanes due to the peculiarities of the relief of the city. For a long time, Nakhodka Prospect has been the only road connecting the south and north of the city, due to which there were periodic traffic jams.
In 2009, was completed construction of bypass road, which significantly reduced the traffic load on the avenue. Now traffic jams on Nakhodka Avenue are much less frequent.
