The beach runs north to south along the shore of Carlisle Bay in the Caribbean, from the marina in downtown Bridgetown to Needhams Point. It has white sand and is 3.5 kilometers long. Brownes Beach is one of the most popular and visited beaches in Barbados, it has all the beach facilities and many activities.
The water in Carlisle Bay is very calm and there are shipwrecks on its bottom, which become home to many species of fish, seahorses and other sea creatures, making it ideal for diving.
