Alekseev Street is located in the Sovetsky District of Krasnoyarsk.
It was named in honor of Anatoly Dmitrievich Alekseev (04.01.1902 - 29.01.1974), the hero of the Soviet Union, the pilot of the polar aviation department of Glavsevmorput. (City administration resolution No.198 of 21.03.1994 about naming new streets in Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk.)
In 1928 Alekseev together with the polar pilot B. G. Chuhnovsky participated in rescuing Italian polar expedition of Umberto Nobile. In 1929 he participated in the first flight along the Yenisei River, during which the Yenisei airline was opened. Alekseyev was a pilot of the Krasnoyarsk hydro-aviation base of Glavsevmorput, commander of N-172 aircraft, which delivered Papanin's first polar expedition to the North Pole.

Anatoly Dmitrievich lived in Moscow, worked in the Polar Aviation Administration and at Sheremetyevo Airport. He was awarded three Orders of Lenin, five Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of World War I, three Orders of the Red Star, and medals.

In 1965 the name of the polar pilot Alekseev was given to the mountain in Antarctica (Enderby Land), which was mapped by the Soviet Antarctic expedition in 1962 (67 degrees south latitude, 50 degrees east longitude).
Alekseev Street began to be built up from the Severny residential area in the late 1990s. The first residential buildings here were four seventeen-story monolithic "candlesticks" built according to a Yugoslav design. Since the mid-2000s there has been intensive construction on the street - houses were put into operation in the residential areas Vzletka and Severny, the "Innokentievsky" neighborhood.

Later a new residential complex "Vertikaly", made in an interesting color, appeared opposite the trade and entertainment center "Planet".

It should be noted that Alexeev St. is "lucky" unlike other Vzletka and Severny streets, as there were few built ugly grey panel buildings of 97-series, from which further development of the area was abandoned in favor of new, modern, original projects.
In 2006, the house №93 in Alekseeva Street was commissioned, which was awarded as "The best monolith-brick house in the city of Krasnoyarsk".
