Webcam Boleslawiec. The lake in the city park
Bolesławiec is one of the oldest towns in the northwestern part of the Lower Silesia province. According to chroniclers, the settlement emerged as early as the end of the twelfth century, and before 1251 received the rights of the city. The area, located at the junction of the borders with Germany and the Czech Republic, has a very good communication. Thanks to the A4 and A18 freeways, national roads and the railroad there are good connections with Wrocław, Berlin, Dresden and Prague.
The city is located in the micro-region of the Lower Silesian Forest, in the area of the largest forest complex. The Bubr River and the nearby Kwisa provide good conditions for fishing and water sports, including the exciting rafting. The marked hiking trails in the town inspire hiking, and the 200 km network of bicycle paths, numerous horse farms and agritourism farms provide opportunities for active recreation.
The area is one of the most beautiful in the region. We have carefully restored historical urban structure with a rich ensemble of monuments from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicist periods and interesting buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries.
For many centuries Boleslawiec has been known for the production of ceramic products with unique design and performance merits.
