Mersrags is a fishing village on the shore of the Gulf of Riga. Fish processing remains the main occupation of its inhabitants today. In summer, the village welcomes tourists with pleasure.
The sea is the center of life in Mersrags. In the center of the town there is a port, the second largest among the small ports of Latvia. In addition to the traditional fishing and processing of fish, trade and services, as well as transit, are developing here.
