Webcam Kurgan. Dzerzhinsky Street, Burova-Petrov Street
Kurgan is a city located practically in the center of Eurasia, a few hours from the border with Kazakhstan. It was founded in 1679, although a Russian settlement on this territory existed since the middle of the 16th century.
Kurgan has quite a rich history - take, for example, the countless times when the city was looted and burned by nomads. However, despite all the attacks, the city was rebuilt again each time. Moreover, Russia could have lost Kurgan in 1927: during this period the city was nearly renamed Krasinsk, but eventually decided to leave his historical name.
Today Kurgan is one of the largest cities in Trans-Urals. It has on its territory many historical, cultural and natural attractions.
