The central square of Sopron is a scattering of beautiful old buildings, real monuments of architecture, and often museums inside. The most beautiful of them are:

- General's House;
- House Storno;
- House Fabrizius.
The Plague Column, or the St. Trinity Column, which, according to Hungarian legends, was erected in 1860 by local resident Levenburg in honor of his wife Eva, who died when the plague struck, is world-famous.
