Webcam Yalta. Ai-Danil Hotel, swimming pool
In the lens of the online webcam an outdoor swimming pool of 650 sq.m. with heated fresh water, located among the landscape park-monument-forest in the south-west of Cape Martyan in the sanatorium Ai-Danil. The sanatorium, located between Nikitsky Botanical Garden and Gurzuf, was opened in 1974 and was the first high-altitude spa facility in the South Coast.
The name of the sanatorium takes its origin from the once located here the ancient Greek settlement with the temple of Ah-Danil, which means Saint Daniel. Now it is the village Danilovka. The air here is considered to be curative, because the village is dominated by the aroma of juniper berries, grapes and sea. Danilovka is surrounded in the north by the highest ridge of the Crimean mountains.
There is a relict juniper grove of the nature reserve "Cape Martyan". In the 19th century these lands belonged to Christian Sven, the then head of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Count Vorontsov, the governor of Novorossiysk, bought the territory from him and became the founder of the local winemaking. The first Crimean wine cellar was built here. The famous "Pinot gris Ai-Danil" was produced from grapes, which were grown only on the lands of "Ai-Danil".
