Rauris (Rauris) is a fairground municipality (Marktgemeinde) in Austria, in the federal state of Salzburg. A forested mountain range in the Hohen Tauern National Park exposes its snow-shrouded peaks to the remote ski resort of Rauris. The Golden Valley of the Alps with the same name Rauris shelters this ski resort and offers an incredible panorama of the Reichraskopf mountains and the Kolm-Saigurn Valley. The sprawling slopes of the resort stretch over several peaks, and the tourist town of Rauris is comfortably nestled between the peaks of the Austrian Alps. Located at an altitude of 950 meters, Rauris lifts skiers to the summit of Schwarzwand (2200 m), Heimalm (1480 m) and others, from where you can descend on 16 km of "blue", 10 km of "red" and 4 km of "black" trails.
