Online Camera at Hamburg Airport. Camera 3

Hamburg International Airport is considered to be the oldest operational airport in Germany. It was opened in January 1911. In the 1990s it was planned to move it further north of Hamburg, but later the project was abandoned in favor of reconstruction: new infrastructure and passenger service buildings, a hotel and transport accesses were built.

There was also a city commuter rail line. Since November 10, 2016, Hamburg Airport has been named after Helmut Schmidt.
The airport has two terminals and two runways, capable of accommodating all types of aircraft. The airport specializes in flights to Europe, especially to Scandinavian countries.
The annual passenger traffic of Hamburg Airport is more than 17 million people.
