The 36,000 m2 Santa Catarina Park is located between Avenida do Infanti and Avenida Sa Carneiro. It offers a magnificent view of Funchal from the bay to the cape of Ponta do Garajau. The vast expanse of the park is sown with lawn. There are various decorative flower beds around, where trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants from different parts of the world are planted. Visitors can also visit the bird kennels. Pay attention to the Chapel of St. Catherine (Capela di Santa Catarina) and the lake with an artificial island where birds rest and nest.
The park is open to the public daily from 07: 30 to 21: 00.
