Webcam Verkhoturye. Malyshev Square, light fountain (Sverdlovsk region).
Verkhoturye is the oldest city in the Sverdlovsk region. It is interesting for its numerous architectural monuments (including the smallest Kremlin in Russia), churches (it is called the Spiritual Capital of the Urals) and mysterious underground passages.
In 2021, for residents and guests of the city opened the square on Malysheva Street - a public area, which combines modernity and the historical past of the spiritual capital of the Urals.
The square is conditionally divided into two linear zones. One of them - with frame compositions from photographs of revolutionary life reflects the era of the Civil War and its role in the history of the city.
The other is devoted to Babinovskaya road - the main postal route, which, according to the assumptions of archaeologists, in the XVI century through Verkhoturye to Siberia is the same street which today bears the name of the famous revolutionary leader Ivan Malyshev. During the landscaping the road was paved with paving stones imitating the old pavement, benches stylized as a caravan of carts were placed on it, and various lighting was installed along the road.
Across the street, in the "modern" part of the park, there are small pavilions for cafes, a playground for children and a multifunctional sports area with outdoor fitness equipment. Sidewalks, a bicycle path, and parking spaces for cars - all infrastructure solutions create a barrier-free environment. A special function is performed by the green plantings - large trees and bushes protect the park from the road and create an atmosphere of privacy, medium plants - provide the internal zoning, small ones - put accents in the composition.
The realization of the project, the total value of which was more than 70 million rubles, was implemented at the expense of the consolidated budget and in many respects became possible due to the victory of the city in the All-Russian competition of 2020 for the best project of improvement in small towns and historical settlements. As a reward for winning, Verkhoturye received a federal grant of 50 million rubles.
