Miass is the fourth largest city in the Chelyabinsk region. It is located on the bank of the river of the same name, at the foot of the Ilmensky mountains. Founded in 1773, is one of the historic cities of Russia. The population of the city is over 150,000 people.
Miass gained a lot of strength during the Russian gold rush of the early 19th century. Despite this, it has been able to preserve its picturesque appearance, steeped in the lush greenery of the Ilmensky mineralogical reserve.
