The Fatyanov Biathlon Complex was built in 2009. The Fatyanov Biathlon Complex was built in 2009 and named after the honored coach of Russia Vitaly Fatyanov.
Since 2009 it became the place for international biathlon competitions for "Vitaly Fatyanov Prizes", in which famous biathletes from all over the world took part. Biathlon complex named after Vitaly Fatyanov is located in the North-East of Russia. Fatyanov Biathlon Complex is located on the North-Eastern Highway on the northern outskirts of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It has several ski and biathlon tracks that are 1.5 km, 2 km, 2.5 km and 3.3 km long, corresponding to the IBU international rules. There is also a sports stadium, grandstands for 5,000 seats, two conference halls, a shooting range, fan zones along the track and other facilities.
