Yeisk is a small resort town on the shores of the Azov Sea. Its name is derived from the river Eya, which flows into the Eya estuary. The city is located in the northern part of the Krasnodar region. There is even a joke among the townspeople that from Yeisk begins Kuban.
The city was founded in 1848, thanks to the efforts of the governor of the Caucasus, Prince Mikhail Semenovich Vorontsov (1782 - 1856). Prince in Yeisk is a monument. Emperor Nicholas I (1796 - 1855) agreed with the proposal of M.S. Vorontsov and signed the highest decree, which has the following lines: "... on the Sea of Azov, at the so-called Yeysk spit, to open a port and establish a town, which is to be called Yeysk port city.

The city began to grow and develop rapidly. People began to choose it as a permanent residence.

The climate in these places is very favorable for health. In summer, a lot of warm sunny days, and shallow at the shore of the Azov Sea warms up quickly. Yeisk by right has the status of a resort town. From May to September holidaymakers flood it. Having come here once, you want to return more and more. The city is just buried in parks and greenery. The old single-storey houses in its central part inspire a pleasant romanticism.
