Webcam Cesana Torinese Mountain Resort, Colle Berchia Mountain
Cesana Torinese is one of the resorts of the famous skiing region of Italy, which is called the Milky Way. The region has about 400 km of slopes of varying difficulty, but Cesana itself can not boast a wealth of opportunities for skiing, so often tourists staying here go skiing on the slopes of nearby resorts, the road takes a little time.
The local nightlife is also not diverse, but if you like a quiet holiday and are not looking for boisterous entertainment, then Cesana Torinese is a good option.
The resort is located relatively low in the mountains, so the skiing season can be relatively short, although usually there is sufficient snow cover from mid-December to April.
Cesana Torinese is a small resort, with only 39 groomed slopes, which are mostly suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. However, there are also difficult slopes, which in 2006 had to be overcome by the candidates for Olympic gold.
There are some difficult bottomless pistes that remained from the Olympic times, so if you are a cross-country ski fan or have already conquered a few of the resort's slopes, go ahead and conquer the new ones.
The snowboarding facilities in Cesana Torinese are not the best, as there is no snow park, but if you like freeriding, you can safely go to the untouched alpine slopes.
The resort is surrounded by fast-flowing mountain rivers, so in the summer you can go rafting. You can also go trekking, cycling and archery in the warm season.
The range of winter activities is not very varied, but Cesana offers something unique to its guests that is not found in other resorts.
A bobsleigh run was built for the 2006 Olympics, so you can now take off at cruising speed on a bob run by an experienced pilot.
There are no big name hotels in small and quiet Cesana, but there are a fair number of small, cozy, family-run hotels.
