Rybinsk is a city in the Yaroslavl region with a population of just over 200 thousand people, located at the confluence of the Volga, Cheremukha and Sheksna rivers. The city is located at the northernmost point of the Volga River. Rybinsk consists of several neighborhoods, which are often referred to as settlements. It is located 80 km from Yaroslavl.
Even in the past centuries it was a merchant's town, now Rybinsk is an industrial center of the region and at the same time, a monument of archeology XI-XVI centuries. It is also known for the largest reservoir in Russia.
Rybinsk-Passazhyrsky is a passenger-cargo railway station of the Yaroslavl region of the Northern Railway and the main railway station of the city.
